- The full course fee is due at the time of enrolment through a direct deposit into our account (details at the bottom).
- The receipt must be presented to the teacher or admissions office on the first day of class.
- The maximum and minimum number of students per class is stipulated as 20 and 12 respectively. Classes can be cancelled, or classes of the same level merged in the course of the term. If a class is cancelled by the Goethe-Institut and no other class is available at the same level, the course fee of the concerned students will be carried forward to the next term. If the enrolments are insufficient on the starting date, we reserve the right to adjust the course, format or the starting date in consultation with the course participants.
- A cancellation fee of 20% of the total course fee is applicable should you cancel within seven days before the course starts. No refunds will be paid once the course has started. Cancellations must be submitted to Goethe-Institut Tanzania per E-Mail or in-Person in writing. The date of cancellation shall be the date of receipt at the Goethe-Institute Tanzania.
- Students must have attained the age of 16 when enrolling.
- Registration on our online platform "Mein Goethe.de" is mandatory for all students.
- All foreign students must apply for a student's pass from the Department of Immigration.
- Enrolment is not transferable. A change of class requires the consent of the Head of Language Department.
- Admission to the next level is subject to the passing of continuous assessment tests and the international examination during and at the end of the term. The pass mark for our tests and exams is 60 %. The B1 certificate is required for admission to the B2.1 class.
- Certificates of attendance will be issued at the end of the course only if the attendance has been 80 % or more.
- Lost certificates cannot be replaced. A confirmation letter will be issued in the event of a lost certificate.
- Security checks at the entrance of the institute are mandatory for all students and visitors.
- Course participants are advised to take an insurance cover that would cater for them in case of an emergency. Those with pre-existing medical conditions should inform their teachers so that the Goethe-institute can call for emergency support if needed. Any costs arising out of medical emergencies will be borne by the course participant or their parents/guardians.
- 14. The declaration of consent form for the transmission of personal data to our headquarters in Munich, Germany must be signed by all course participants and examination candidates.
- 15. Course participants on sponsorship consent to having data on their course progress including attendance, examination and continuous assessment test results communicated to their sponsors.
- 16. The liability of the Goethe-Institute and its staff is limited to intentional and gross negligence. The Goethe-Institute accepts no liability for the cancellation of its services due to force major and all other circumstances beyond its control.
